Hey Tina,

Check the upper tension reel, if the thread is not threaded past it properly it senses this as a "thread break" the sensors are the small wheels just below the first tensioners. Make sure the paths are correct as they cause the reels to spin when properly threaded. Also, mysterious thread breaks happen at the bobbin case as well you just can't see them.

Hello,

Thank you fo ryour reply. There is NO thread break, in fact the thread is still attached to the image through the needle. Everything seems to be perfect. Any ideas? I am so anxious to use it. Thanks.

Awesome machine, 40ttc is newest version, Thumbdrive, able. Good controls, well built, compares to Tajima without the tajima name. Not for first timers, get a 6 needle Brother or Babylock.

]I am also considering a Happy machine. Does anyone here have one and any input on it's performance or reputation? The machine we are looking at is the HCD 1501-40TTC, Also I have found this machine so far with two different vendors, does anyone have any input on either of these:

IMG International Machine Group, Anaheim, CA

or

Pantograms, Tampa, FL

Thanks

Hello folks,
I have the Happy HCD 1501 (15 needle) and love it. It's a total Monster (well built and solid)
240lbs it's not portable, but it is very strong and intelligent performer.
Get Durkee Mid-sized hoops, as the included ones are either too large or too small. Fast Frames work! I got the ones for the Babylock/Brother PR series and moving the arms out the fast Frame arm clips into place perfectly. Always trace to avoid frame strikes.
Use largest hoop to practice and learn the machine. Looking for the "Flats" table for this machine, Texmac hasn't been all too helpful with that one.

I just purchased a 1501 HCD Happy machine in March and I've been pleased with the machine. I'm learning a lot but I am now needing info /instruction on tension issues. The manual is useless and the webiste and support is useless as well. Service has been helpful up to this point. I've placed a call totem and will call them back tomorrow.Their machine class in Charlotte,N.C. was lacking a lot. I've calledmy salesman as well. In themeanime anyone ho has any info or resources to offer woul be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

I have a Happy CD, not Voyager; but a few things you might look at..... your needle.... make sure it is in proper place; the bobbin tension; the upper thread tension. I can't think of anything else. Is it a "false thread break"? In other words does the machine say thread break but it is actually not broken?

Hello,

I just purchased a 12 needle Happy Voyager. I've had it 3 1/2 weeks and have not been able to complete my very first image. The image is about 4 x 6 inches and was almost completed when I got a "THREAD BREAK" message. I have threaded and re-threaded the machine over 10 times and I keep getting that message. I did call the manufcturer but I didn't really get anywhere. Does anyone have any idea what I might be doiong wrong? I actually used a huge magnifiying glass to see if I had threaded the machine wrong. Everything seems to be right. Please help! Thanks.

Tina
