I am new to machine emboirdery. I have a question re husqvarna. What is the difference between 4D and $d software. Is it like Windows 7 then Windows vista?

I have to say that I use Essentials all the time and I really love this software. I have a 950D Brother sewing and embroidery machine and when I purchased it the salesperson also show me embrilliance. I was cautious at first because I had seen most software was like $300 to over $1500. The salesman sat me down and showed me how the Essentials worked I was hooked. I was told by other companies that I would have to use parallels on my Mac Book to work with designs, but not with Embrilliance I don't.
So now all I have to do to fulfill my obsession is to buy a new embroidery machine with larger hoops (4x4 is no where big enough) and Embrilliance need to get to work on a Mac Digitizer. :)
